Organic Prosecco
This delicious Prosecco joined our portfolio in response to our customers looking for more Organic and Vegan options and our wine team constantly moving towards more sustainable options. Proverbio Prosecco has a fine bead of refreshing bubbles, with the typical aromatic nose offered by the Glera grape variety. The palate is soft and fresh, offering zippy acidity and a complex array of primary fruit flavours, including peach, pear, apricot and a hint of banana.
Food Pairing: This is enjoyable on its own as an aperitif but also pairs wonderfully with seafood risotto.

The last time Il Volpetto Chianti Riserva was on special, Tom Doorley made this his Wine of the Week-

Best Value Amarone
A few months ago I described the Passito Method for producing rich, robust red wines. The most famous wine made by this technique is Amarone from Valpolicella, in northern Italy. These are expensive wines to both produce and buy, but our wine team managed to hunt down the incredible value Tajapiera Amarone. Deep and vibrant ruby red in colour with an intense bouquet of blackberry fruit, the palate is rich, full-bodied and well-rounded. Beautiful, classic black cherry and plum fruit flavours with a chocolate and coffee complexity on the finish.
Food Pairing: A bold wine like this needs an equally robust dish, so why not try your hand at classic Italian dish, Osso Buco- a rich, slow cooked recipe that uses veal shin (although the sublime quality of Irish beef works just as well) on the bone. The bone marrow melts into the broth to give a wonderfully rich, warming stew. Serve on a bed of Saffron Risotto.
